Success Story of Sangini Program- Sangini Ranveer Kaur
Ranveer Kaur belongs to a small village in Nabha, Patiala.She comes from an extremely poor family and because of the financial situation of her parents, she had to be pulled her out of school in class 10 and began working as a daily wage labourer with her mother whowas earning a meagre amount of money. After she met the SEWA Punjab Area In-Chargeher family was informed about the SanginiProject; and she was sent for training to the SEWA Sangini facility in Mohali. She attended regular training sessions and after having successfullycompleted the training, she was placed as a child caregiverfor a professional couple in Chandigarh. Both she and her family are happy as now she is earning a good income, is working in a safe environment, has dignity of labour as a Sangini and an overall improved quality of life. As a Sangini, she continues to get counselling and supervisory support as and when required.
